Amazon FBA Profit – Fetcher – Tool for Private Label Sellers

I am so happy to have the opportunity to speak with Shane Stinemetz, founder of Fetcher. Shane is a successful (almost 7 figure) Amazon FBA Private Label seller, who after selling for a while realized that he had no idea how much money he was actually making.

Sound familiar?  It’s exactly how I felt also.  Working with the reports in Amazon Seller Central and trying to make sense of them via Excel…well. It wasn’t pretty.

Enter Fetcher

When Shane realized his problem, he did something about it (man, we love action takers around here!). He teamed up with Greg Mercer, founder of Jungle Scout, and surveyed fellow Amazon Sellers. Turns out, pretty much everyone else has this exact problem.

Fetcher is a tool that helps you to understand the money behind your Amazon FBA business, which is important because once you know what is going on with the money in your business you can make better decisions.

I have been using Fetcher since April and love the clarity it brings. Every morning I get an email from Fetcher showing the previous days sales, COGS, Amazon Fees, Other Fees and PPC spend. Meaning, I know exactly how much money I actually made in profit the prior day.

This tool is clean, easy to use, and brings actionable value to you each day.  Definitely give it a try and let me know what you think of it in the comments below!

You can try Fetcher for free for 31 days with this link: http://www.fetcher.com/tbb

Amazon FBA and Long Term Goals

Long Term Goals?

A friend recently asked me about my long term goals for selling products on Amazon FBA.

Is the goal to quit my day job and do this full time?

In short, no. It’s not my goal.  This is a fun creative outlet for me, that is teaching me a ton of valuable skills while making a little extra money.

But if things got so crazy that I was not able to manage my day job, my side business, and my family, I like to think that I would choose myself and make the leap.

Considering that the most money I’ve ever made in one day with Amazon is about $35, my bosses don’t need to worry about seeing a resignation letter anytime soon!

What are your long term goals with selling on Amazon?

In today’s video I’m going to show you how one small tweak led me to find a profitable niche market.

I’m going to show you how to find your private label niche with feedback request emails sent through Amazon Seller Central.

During your feedback request sequence, you should ask customers how they are going to use your product, then look for patterns in the responses. This will show you potential markets for your products that you may have otherwise not been aware of.

It’s a simple change that can garner big results!

Profit First – How To Have A Profitable Amazon FBA Business

How to be Profitable on Amazon

Profit First

I am so excited to walk through the Profit First book and method with you today.

So many of us start Amazon FBA businesses to make money, so why does it seem like so many of us aren’t making any money at all?

The normal ways of accounting and bookkeeping (ie the way your CPA would do it) is not reflective of how we actually run our businesses, which is often taking a look at the balance in our account and making a decision.

The Profit First method takes what you are already doing and puts a framework around it.

It also forces you to run a profitable business by taking your profit first, before you pay any expenses.

Make sense?
