How to Make Your Product Packaging Stand Out – Amazon FBA Case Study
Due to a mix up, my husband and I both recently bought a Himalayan Salt Lamp to go in my office. We both bought off Amazon, for similar prices, and I was shocked when I looked at the difference in packaging.
The salt lamps themselves aren’t that different, but the packaging gives one the impression of being high quality and special, while the other….doesn’t.
It definitely has got me thinking about what I can do to make my packaging stand out from the crowd.
This can be tough because a competitors packaging isn’t necessarily obvious, so unless you buy products from all your competitors, you likely don’t know what you are competing with.
So instead of worrying so much about what others are doing, focus on your idea client.
How do you want them to feel when they get your product in the mail?
If you’re selling cabinet hardware, you probably don’t care about presentation too much. Your client is going to rip open a bag and install the hardware.
But if you’re selling baby clothes, then you do want to create an impression on that new mom – hopefully one that has her coming back to your brand again and again and telling her friends about it as well.
